There are 4 delivery options, and you can turn on as many as you like at the same time. The buyer picks their favorite at checkout. The only rule is that at least one must be active for you to publish the page. Let's go through each one and help you decide.
- 1
Local pickup
The buyer pays through the page and comes to pick the product up from you, with no shipping at all. It is the simplest option and the one that takes the most fear out of starting: no post office, no calculations, no packing to ship.
It makes sense when you serve people near home, have a fixed spot, or sell at a market, studio, store or workshop. It is also great as a second option: many people prefer to swing by and grab it to avoid paying for delivery.
- 2
Local delivery by distance
You take the product to the buyer and charge for delivery based on distance, starting from your address. You set distance bands (for example, up to 3 km costs one amount, up to 7 km costs another) and the system applies the right band automatically once the buyer says where they are.
It is the natural choice for anyone delivering within their own city or neighborhood: food, cakes, flowers, fresh goods, anything you carry yourself or send by courier. Set your origin address carefully, because that is where the distance is measured from.
- 3
National shipping (the whole country)
For selling anywhere in the country. Here you have two ways. The first is a manual flat rate: you set a single shipping amount that applies nationwide and you handle the shipping yourself, your usual way. Simple and predictable.
The second is automatic quotes through Melhor Envio: shipping is calculated on the spot from the buyer's postal code, and you can even leave it set to buy the label automatically as soon as the sale is paid. To do this you connect your Melhor Envio account once (just log in and authorize) and the labels come out of your own balance there.
If you are starting out and worried about getting the shipping price wrong, begin with the flat rate. When you want precision and less manual work, switch to automatic quotes.
- 4
Digital product
For anything with no physical delivery: ebook, file, spreadsheet, PDF course, presets, templates. No shipping, no address. You have two modes. With automatic email delivery, the moment the buyer pays they get an email with the file link, without you doing anything.
With manual delivery, you decide when to send it, handy when the material depends on something from you (a customization, an access you grant by hand). For most cases, automatic is the way to go: the person buys and receives it instantly, even in the middle of the night.

How to decide and combine
Think about how the product actually reaches the person's hands today. Selling something physical only in your city? Local delivery by distance, maybe alongside local pickup. Shipping nationwide? National shipping. Selling a file? Digital product.
You do not have to pick just one. The common move is to turn on two or three and let the buyer decide: for example, local pickup (free) plus national shipping (for people far away). The more options that make sense for your case, the fewer people give up over shipping.
Remember that at least one option must be active to publish. If the page won't publish, it is almost always because no delivery option has been marked yet.
FAQ
Can I turn on more than one delivery option at the same time?
Yes. You can enable as many as make sense, and the buyer picks their favorite at checkout. Combining local pickup with national shipping, for example, is very common.
Am I required to offer shipping?
No. If you only serve people who come to pick up, enable just local pickup. And if you sell a file, use digital product, which has no shipping or address. The only rule is to have at least one delivery option active to publish.
What's the difference between flat rate and automatic quotes in national shipping?
With the flat rate you set a single amount for the whole country and handle shipping your own way. With automatic quotes (Melhor Envio) shipping is calculated on the spot from the buyer's postal code, and you can buy the label automatically after the sale is paid.
Who pays for the Melhor Envio labels?
You do, from your own balance inside Melhor Envio. Pagely only connects your account and, if you enable it, triggers the label purchase automatically when the sale is paid. The shipping the buyer paid goes 100% to you.
I can't publish the page, what could be wrong?
Check whether you've marked at least one delivery option. With none active, the page won't publish. Also confirm the option you chose is fully set up (origin address, shipping amount, or a connected Melhor Envio account).
