In this tutorial you'll turn on digital product mode on your page, choose between automatic delivery (the customer gets an email with the link right away) or manual delivery (you send it whenever you want), and pick up a few tips to avoid headaches with broken links or oversized files. It's quick, and you don't need to understand anything technical.
- 1
Understand what counts as a digital product
A digital product is anything the customer downloads or accesses over the internet, no box, no label, no shipping. That includes an ebook, a spreadsheet, a contract template, study notes, a recorded course, a Lightroom presets pack, audio, a high-res photo, a digital invitation, a recipe book, whatever is yours.
What you actually deliver is always a link: a file hosted somewhere (Google Drive, Dropbox, or your course's members area) or the page where the content lives. Pagely handles the sale and the sending of that link. Where the file lives is up to you, and that's a good thing, because you keep full control of your material.
- 2
Turn on digital product in delivery
While editing your page, go to the delivery section. There you have four modes (pickup, local delivery, national shipping and digital product) and you can use more than one at the same time. To sell a file or link, turn on digital product mode.
When you turn it on, Pagely understands that this sale has no shipping and no delivery address. The customer only enters their email at checkout, and that's where the access goes. That's why the email field at the moment of purchase is the heart of this delivery: check the tips below to make sure it arrives correctly.

Choose between automatic and manual delivery
Digital product has two modes. With automatic delivery by email, as soon as the payment is confirmed, the customer gets an email with the file link, without you doing anything. It's perfect for selling while you sleep: someone buys at 3am and gets access right away.
With manual delivery, the sale happens normally, but the link only goes out when you decide to send it. Use this when the material is still being prepared, when you want to review each order first, or when access depends on you creating a login for each customer. You pick the mode that makes sense for your product, and you can change it later.
- 4
Set up the automatic delivery link
If you chose automatic delivery, paste the link to your file or access page in the field provided. This is exactly the link the customer will receive by email, so open it in an incognito tab first to confirm it works without asking for your own login.
Golden tip: keep the file somewhere with a public link or set to anyone with the link. If it's locked to you only, the customer clicks and can't open it. For large files, prefer a folder link on Drive or Dropbox instead of attaching everything, it's lighter and easier to update later.
- 5
Activate payments before publishing
To get paid, your page needs a payment method connected. In Settings, under integrations, or in the activate payments step itself, connect card (via Stripe) or Pix. The money from the sale lands directly in your account, Pagely doesn't hold it along the way.
Pagely's fee is 3.9% per sale, charged only on the product amount. Since a digital product has no shipping, it's just on the full price. If you connected Stripe and it shows as pending, that's normal: it takes a few minutes to a few hours to become ready. Wait until it's ready before promoting your page.
- 6
Test the purchase before promoting
Before sending your page out into the world, publish it and make a test purchase with a small amount using your own email. Check whether the delivery email arrives, whether it lands in the inbox or in spam, and whether the link opens on the first try. This five-minute test saves you from customer complaints later.
Remember that publishing uses a slot. The first publish may have a one-time cost depending on your country (R$19.90, US$19 or €14), and republishing the same page afterward is free. So edit freely and republish whenever you want, with no fear of paying again.
FAQ
Does the customer really get the file instantly?
In automatic delivery by email mode, yes. As soon as the payment is confirmed, Pagely sends the email with the link automatically, with no need for you to be online. In manual mode, the link only goes out when you send it.
Do I need to upload the file inside Pagely?
No. You deliver a link. The file can live on Google Drive, Dropbox, your course's members area, or wherever you prefer. Pagely sends that link to the buyer. Just make sure the link is accessible to anyone who receives it.
What if the delivery email lands in the customer's spam?
It can happen with any email. That's why it's worth doing a test purchase and, in your page description, telling the customer to check their spam folder if they don't see the email in their inbox. If needed, you can still resend the access manually.
Is there shipping on a digital product?
No. A digital product has no shipping and no delivery address. The customer only enters their email at checkout. That's why Pagely's 3.9% fee applies only to the product price, which is the full amount in this case.
Can I sell a physical and a digital product on the same page?
Delivery modes can be used together, so you can combine digital product with other modes like national shipping or pickup. Set up each mode that makes sense for what you sell, and the customer chooses at the moment of purchase.
